Throwback Thursday Pictures!

This is a photograph of the old platform when we had it down at the bottom of the site.

Appleby Heritage Centre used to restore old train carriages with students that attended here. This was down the bottom of the site in the poly tunnel.
Picture 3 is what the bottom of the site looks like now. We still have the poly tunnel but this is now used by Appleby Edibles who grow plants, fruit and vegetables in there and we no longer restore train carriages with students. Now we run accredited Motor Vehicle, Engineering and Fabrication & Welding NVQ’s.

This picture was taken when we had the platform built in 2006. How strange does it look empty with no carriages down the side?!

This was when we had the ‘new workshop’ built. This was after the carriages were moved from here up to the top of the site where they are now.

This ‘new workshop’ was built due to increased intake of students and the motor vehicle course was becoming more popular and needed a workshop of its own rather then sharing with the engineering workshop.

These photos were taken in 2007.
